Traralgon kinder exceeds national standards

St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School’s Early Learning Centre in Traralgon has been rated as Exceeding National Quality Standard (NQS) under the National Quality Framework (NQF).

The NQS sets a national benchmark for the quality of children’s education and care services across Australia. Services are assessed against the NQS by the state or territory regulatory authority and receive a rating for each of the seven quality areas of the NQS, as well as an overall rating.

The St Paul’s Early Learning Centre’s Director, Fiona McDonald, is pleased with the centre’s achievement. “An overall rating of Exceeding NQS is given to services that go above and beyond the requirements of the NQS in at least four of the seven quality areas,” she said.

“It was highlighted that our Educators demonstrated an ongoing commitment to ensuring that the program was responsive to the needs of individual children. The educational program was designed with purpose and consideration.”

“The service environment was consistently inclusive and supported competence for each child, with opportunities to explore, engage in play-based learning and to develop a sense of environmental responsibility. The children’s learning and opportunities were enhanced through the Nature Kinder Program.”
