It has been a long five years since St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School has been able to take Gippsland students to Japan on a language and culture tour, but they have finally returned this year.

In fostering the connection between the Brayakaulung people of the Gunaikurnai Nation, the traditional owners of the land upon which St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School students learn, Cultural Leader Michelle Dow, from Gunaikurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation, attended the South Eastern Independent Schools Association (SEISA) intermediate boys football game to officially open the very first Indigenous Round.

St Paul’s Anglican Grammar school were delighted to welcome The Hon. Harriet Shing MP, Member for Eastern Victoria, to view the progress of their new Drouin Campus on Friday 2 August.

Students from both Warragul and Traralgon campuses of St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School, accompanied by Principal Cameron Herbert and Chaplains Glen Treble and Reverend Daniel Lowe, made the journey to St Paul’s Cathedral in Melbourne for the Biennial Combined Anglican Schools Service.

Public speaking can seem daunting to some people, but two St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School Year 6 students have taken it in their stride and done their school proud, presenting to an audience of 160 at the Crown Conference Centre in Melbourne.

St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School students have come home in third place after competing at the recent Basketball Victoria’s 3X3 Cup for schools and associations.

For the first time since the pandemic, students from St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School ventured to East Timor to immerse themselves into the life and traditions of the Timorese people over nine eventful days.

The St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School Equestrian team has had a busy and successful year, finishing in 11th place out of 164 schools at the recent Equestrian Victoria Interschool State Championships at Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre, with three students qualifying for the nationals.

St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School George Collins Kokoda Trek Award recipients, Zara and William, will be leaving the familiarity of school and their homes to complete the Kokoda Trek at the start of July.

In a display of skill and camaraderie, St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School’s Swim team emerged victorious once again at the highly anticipated South Eastern Independent Schools Association’s (SEISA) Swim Carnival.
